It’s always risky to purchase a used machine, especially as a newbie because you really do not know enough about the machines to distinguish a good deal from a poor business decision. With top-of-the line machines, like Tajima, the resale value tends to stay at a higher level, so the price difference between a new machine and one that is the same model but a couple of years old is usually small. Used machines for the most part should be less expensive than buying new.
